Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong has arrived in Ghana for the holidays after the Bundesliga break.

Although born in the Netherlands, Frimpong’s parents are from Ghana, and this marks his first visit to the country.

He expressed joy at the warm reception, describing the experience as "amazing" and emphasizing his connection to the people.

Frimpong will engage in charity work during his stay, particularly with his project, Pathways Cooperative.

Despite this being his first trip to Ghana, he has always felt tied to his heritage, enjoying Ghanaian food and speaking the language. He expressed pride in connecting with his roots on a deeper level.
