Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has donated items worth over GH₵30,000 to children at the Osu Children's Home in Accra during his one-week visit to Ghana.
Among the donations were jerseys for the home’s school team. Speaking to the media, Frimpong shared, "I’ve always wanted to do this, but I needed to be in the right position to provide. Of course, I play football for my family, but now I can also help others. This is what I want to do, especially in Africa.
This is where I’m from; I have Ghanaian blood. Putting a smile on the faces of these kids is what it’s all about." He will return to Germany after the Bundesliga’s festive break.
