Be patient with Otto Addo, Maxwell Konadu prays Ghanaians

Former Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has called on Ghanaians to be patient and rally behind head coach Otto Addo as he works to rebuild the national team.

Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, Konadu highlighted the inconsistent nature of football support in Ghana, where fans often praise or criticize based on short-term results.

Following Ghana's failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 20 years, Otto Addo has slowly begun restoring public confidence.

Back-to-back World Cup qualifier wins against Chad (5-0) and Madagascar (3-0) have kept his unbeaten record intact and strengthened Ghana’s 2026 World Cup hopes.

Konadu admitted patience is scarce in today’s fast-paced era but believes continued positive results will ease pressure on Addo. Ghana currently leads Group I with 15 points, ahead of Comoros, and prepares for key matches in September.
