General Manager of Okwahu United and former Asante Kotoko supporters’ leader, Nana Kwame Dankwah, has urged Black Stars and Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare to consider switching to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Speaking on Hot 93.9 FM’s Hot Focal Sports show with host Ebenezer Amuzu, Nana Kwame argued that Kotoko would offer Asare better opportunities to advance his career.
“Hearts will not aid his progress,” he stated, adding that a move to Kotoko would be in the goalkeeper’s best interest.
Asare, who was recently crowned Man of the Match in Hearts’ 1-0 victory over Medeama FC on April 6, has risen to national prominence following his standout performances in the Black Stars’ FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
His consistent form has solidified his spot as Ghana’s number one goalkeeper.
