Kumasi Asante Kotoko's head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is excited about their upcoming game. He believes the match against Berekum Chelsea FC will be “interesting.” This game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, at Baba Yara Stadium.
The match will also serve as a preview for the MTN FA Cup semifinal later in May. Both teams advanced past the quarterfinals this past weekend.
Dr. Ogum praised Berekum Chelsea’s head coach, Samuel Boadu. Boadu is a two-time FA Cup winner and has also won the Ghana Premier League. He highlighted striker Stephen Amankonah's talent as well.
Ogum stated, “To me, he [Samuel Boadu] is a fine gentleman and a good coach.” He added that Chelsea has strong players like Amankonah, who scored an impressive goal in the last FA Cup quarters.
“They have quality on the field and on the bench,” Ogum noted. This depth adds to the excitement of the upcoming game.
Currently, Kotoko leads the league standings with 42 points. In contrast, Berekum Chelsea ranks ninth with 32 points.
