Betis should crowdfund to extend Antony loan - Isco

Real Betis should crowdfund to extend winger Antony's loan from Manchester United, says midfielder Isco.

Antony, a Brazilian winger, has made an impact since joining Betis. He has scored four goals and provided four assists in 12 games. His loan lasts until the end of the season.

Sources from United say Betis pays at least 84% of Antony's wages. His salary exceeds £100,000 per week.

"We have to crowdfund so he can stay at least another year," Isco told DAZN. He added that they have noticed a change since Antony arrived.

"He brings us a lot," Isco said. "I'm happy to have Antony here." He praised Antony for his humility and desire to help.

Since Antony joined, Betis has lost only two of their 12 games. They recently won their sixth consecutive match in La Liga against Sevilla.

Betis currently sits sixth in the table. The top four teams qualify for the Champions League.

Antony joined Manchester United from Ajax for £81 million in 2022. This makes him their second most expensive signing after Paul Pogba.

He scored 12 goals in 96 games for United but only one in the Premier League since April 2023. Before joining Betis, he played in just 13 of United's 33 games this season.

Betis' record signing remains Brazil winger Denilson, who cost £22 million in 1998.
