'Better things will come' for Man Utd, insists Amorim

Ruben Amorim remained hopeful after Manchester United's 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace, where Jean-Philippe Mateta scored both goals in the second half.

The loss marked United's seventh home defeat in 13 league games, their worst start at Old Trafford since 1893-94. Despite 17 chances and more possession, United struggled to convert, with only 1.31 expected goals (xG) compared to Palace's 2.61. Amorim acknowledged the team's improved performance but lamented avoidable goals and an injury to Lisandro Martinez.

He emphasized the need to move forward and stay positive, reassuring fans that "better things will come." United's struggles continued, failing to score in the first half of 18 matches this season, a league high.
