Bibiani GoldStars will not be complacent after going top - Spokesperson Samuel Kwagyire

Samuel Kwagyire, the Communications Director of Bibiani GoldStars, reassured supporters. He said the team will stay focused after reaching the top of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League table.

GoldStars climbed to first place after a 2-0 win over Bechem United. This was aided by Asante Kotoko's 3-0 loss to Accra Lions. Despite this success, Kwagyire emphasized that the team remains grounded and aware of upcoming challenges.

“We will not be complacent,” he stated. “Asante Kotoko is a strong team. You can’t underestimate them. Our focus is on taking each game as it comes.” He spoke with Michael Oduro on Metro Sports.

Kwagyire noted that GoldStars aimed for the title from the season's start. Their current position reflects hard work and preparation. “Our goal has always been to compete for the ultimate prize,” he said.

He added that they want to capitalize on their momentum. “We aim to be champions when the season ends,” he declared.

Kwagyire also highlighted fan pride in the Western North region. “GoldStars is the only Premier League team here,” he explained. Supporters are proud and expect continued effort from the team.

“Their energy fuels us,” he said, expressing gratitude for their support. With seven games left, Bibiani GoldStars have 47 points, leading Nations FC by two points and Asante Kotoko by three points.
