Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren is confident his team can bounce back as they prepare for a two-game friendly against Senegal.
Ghana hasn’t won in their last five matches, and Bjorkegren—appointed in February to succeed Nora Hauptle—is still chasing his first victory after a narrow 1-0 loss to Morocco in his debut.
With a canceled friendly against Raja Casablanca also behind him, the upcoming clashes with Senegal mark a crucial step in the team’s buildup to the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ghana defeated Senegal twice last year, but Bjorkegren expects a tougher challenge this time, praising their physicality.
He emphasized the need for better control and more scoring chances, aiming to end the winless run when the teams meet on Saturday and Tuesday.
