Ghana’s Black Queens have moved up to 65th in the latest FIFA rankings following their international friendly against Morocco.
Despite losing the match, they climbed from sixth to fifth place in Africa, showing steady progress since 2023.
The United States remain the top-ranked team globally, followed by Spain, Germany, England, and Japan.
In Africa, Nigeria leads the rankings, with South Africa, Morocco, Zambia, and Ghana completing the top five.
The Black Queens are set to return to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 2018.
Drawn in Group C, they will face defending champions South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali.
To prepare, the Ghana Football Association has scheduled a nine-day training camp in Senegal in April ahead of the tournament in Morocco.
