Ghana’s Minister-designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has assured that the Black Queens will receive equal financial support to address concerns over unpaid bonuses and funding challenges.
Despite their recent resurgence, the team faced financial setbacks in 2023, missing scheduled friendlies due to a lack of funds.
Adams pledged to ensure the Black Queens are not neglected financially and emphasized his commitment to resolving these issues.
With the appointment of Kim Lars Bjorkegren as head coach, the assurance of financial stability is expected to uplift the team’s morale as they prepare for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
