Black Queens wrap up Abidjan training tour with defeat to Côte d’Ivoire 

The Black Queens lost their final friendly match in Abidjan on Tuesday.

They fell to the Ivory Coast, losing 1-0 after a second-half goal.

Ghana aimed for a win after drawing 3-3 last week.

Coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren made two changes to the starting lineup.

Jennifer Cudjoe and Alice Kusi joined the team for this match.

In the opening minutes, Ghana had good possession of the ball.

However, the Ivorians soon took control of the game.

Les Elephants threatened every time they attacked.

Goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan made several crucial saves during the match.

Unfortunately, she could not stop Habibou Ouedraogo’s goal in the 56th minute.

This marked Ghana's fourth goal conceded against Côte d’Ivoire in two games.

The Black Queens could not equalize and lost to Ivory Coast.

This result leaves Ghana with one win in their last five matches.

Under Bjorkegren, they have scored four goals and conceded six.

The game was part of preparations for the delayed 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament will take place in Morocco next month.
