Black Stars assistant coaches John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda are reportedly set to be dismissed as part of a technical team restructuring.
The former Ghana internationals joined the team under head coach Otto Addo but have faced scrutiny following Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) recently held a marathon meeting to review Addo's technical report. During the session, Addo emphasized the need for changes within his backroom staff, prompting the GFA to plan adjustments to the roles of assistant coach and goalkeepers' trainer, currently held by Paintsil and Dauda.
The Black Stars finished bottom of Group F in the AFCON qualifiers with three draws and three losses, marking their first AFCON absence in 20 years.
