Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi has expressed concern over the Black Stars' recent poor performances. Ghana has struggled in their last three international tournaments, with just one win from nine games.

The team exited the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in the group phase, finished at the bottom in the 2022 World Cup, and suffered another group-stage elimination in the 2023 AFCON without a win.

Additionally, Ghana failed to qualify for the 2025 AFCON. Nyantakyi, reflecting on the team’s decline, emphasized that such challenges are unusual, attributing the issue to differences in management and coaching compared to his tenure.

Ghana hopes for an improved performance in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
