Ghana's Black Stars secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Madagascar in their second-leg fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Morocco. This follows their emphatic 5-0 win against Chad on Friday.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey was the star of the match, netting two headed goals from Jordan Ayew's well-placed corner kicks.

Mohammed Kudus sealed the win with a third goal in the second half. Captain Jordan Ayew played a crucial role, providing assists for all three goals.

With this result, Ghana extends their lead in Group I with 15 points, five points ahead of Madagascar (10 points).

Mali follows closely with 9 points after a goalless draw with the Central African Republic. Comoros also sits on 9 points, while CAR and Chad trail with 5 and 0 points, respectively.

This victory marks the first time in years that Ghana has won back-to-back qualifiers, scoring eight goals without conceding. Coach Otto Addo expressed his satisfaction, describing the match as a "mini final" for his team.

Ghana has now played six out of ten matches in the qualifiers, with four more games left to determine their path to the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
