Black Stars management committee neglected team against Niger – Aziz Futa

Former Hearts of Oak executive Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa criticized the Black Stars management for neglecting the team during their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

He revealed that no members of the management committee or GFA Executive Council attended the match at Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, where Ghana suffered a 2-0 loss to Niger, ending their qualifying campaign.

This defeat marked Ghana's first loss at the venue in 16 years and resulted in their failure to qualify for AFCON for the first time in 21 years.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has since dissolved the Black Stars management committee, with plans to form a new one. Futa partially blamed the committee's absence and neglect for the team's poor performance. Coach Otto Addo’s future remains uncertain.
