Ghana’s Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, has warned that the Black Stars must never fail to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) again.
Ghana, four-time African champions, failed to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, finishing last in their group with just three points from six matches (three defeats, three draws).
Speaking to Woezor TV, Adams expressed his disappointment, stressing that such failure should not be repeated.
With AFCON hopes lost, the Black Stars will shift focus to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. They will face Chad and Madagascar next month in Matchday five and six games.
Ghana currently sits second in Group I with nine points after four matches, aiming to secure a spot in the next World Cup.
