Brandon Thomas-Asante played a pivotal role as Coventry City secured a 2-0 victory over Swansea City at the Swansea.com Stadium, marking their first-ever win against the Welsh side.

Coventry took the lead in the 17th minute when Thomas-Asante provided an assist for Ellis Simms, who calmly finished from close range.

Despite dominating possession, Swansea struggled to create clear opportunities, with Coventry’s disciplined defense keeping them at bay.

Just before halftime, Thomas-Asante doubled the lead with a brilliant right-footed strike from outside the box, sending the ball into the top corner. Swansea pressed in the second half but failed to test the Coventry goalkeeper.

Thomas-Asante’s goal and assist increased his tally to four goals and two assists in 29 Championship appearances. With this win, Coventry moved to 11th place with 41 points and will next face Leeds United on February 5th.
