CAF has confirmed that Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan and Ivorian legend Clementine Toure will lead the draw for the 2025 African Schools Football Championship on April 21 in Accra. Ghana is hosting the tournament for the first time, with matches set from April 23 to 26.

The iconic duo will be joined by other African football greats, including Abedi Pele, Adjoa Bayor, Amanda Dlamini, and Robert Kidiaba, who will also support the youth competition throughout the event.

The championship, now in its third edition, will feature eight countries each in the Boys’ and Girls’ U-15 categories vying for continental glory.

Alongside the tournament, CAF will roll out tailored capacity-building programs to develop leadership skills in young African talent.

South Africa and Tanzania are defending champions in the Girls’ and Boys’ divisions respectively. Winners stand to earn $300,000 in development funds, with a total of $10 million committed by the Motsepe Foundation to support this initiative.
