The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that Asamoah Gyan and Clementine Toure will help with the draw for the African Football Schools Championship.
The official draw is set for Monday, April 21, in Accra.
Ghana will host this competition for the first time. The tournament will take place from April 23 to 26.
Gyan from Ghana and Toure from Cote d’Ivoire will assist with the draw. They are part of the third edition of Africa’s largest school football competition.
Other notable figures at the draw include Abedi Pele and Adjoa Bayor from Ghana. Robert Kidiaba from DR Congo and Amanda Dlamini from South Africa will also be present. They will support participating teams throughout the event.
The CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals conclude another successful season of youth football. Eight nations in both Boys and Girls Under-15 categories will compete for continental honors.
Various CAF Capacity Building Programs will run alongside the four-day competition. These programs aim to develop future African talent on and off the pitch.
South Africa currently holds the Girls U-15 title after defeating Morocco in Tanzania last year. Tanzania won the Boys U-15 title by beating Guinea in front of their home fans.
Winners of both competitions will receive USD 300,000 each. Runners-up will get USD 200,000, while bronze medallists will earn USD 150,000 for school development projects.
