The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has received approval from CAF. They can now offer Licence “A” Coaching Courses in Ghana. This aligns with CAF’s updated coaching framework.
This approval is a significant achievement for the GFA Technical Directorate. It follows extensive preparation and updates to the curriculum.
The CAF A Licence program will be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. Each session will have a maximum of 20 participants. Candidates must hold a CAF B Licence and have two years of experience. They also need proof of active coaching, club documentation, and a personal motivation statement. Preference will be given to full-time coaches from Ghana’s top leagues, regional associations, and national teams.
Final selections will be made after interviews. The year-long course includes four residential modules and a 120-day internship. It covers advanced topics like tactics, game analysis, positional coaching, and player management. This training prepares coaches for senior roles and future eligibility for the CAF Pro License.
