The Nigerian Super Eagles B team received a reward of ₦10 million (about GHC 100,000) for defeating Ghana 3-1 in the second leg of their African Nations Championship qualifiers, securing their place in next year’s tournament in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
The chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, had promised to reward the team if they won, and fulfilled this commitment through NSC Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade.
Olopade praised Dikko’s gesture as a sign of his dedication to Nigerian football and his support for the players, which has inspired them to continue performing at their best.
