Barcelona are exploring alternative stadiums for their Champions League knockout games due to delays in Camp Nou's renovation.
Initially set to return to the revamped stadium, the team now faces the challenge of needing a venue for knockout matches, as the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, which hosts their matches this year, won't be available later.
UEFA rules require clubs to stick with a chosen ground for the knockout phase. The RCDE Stadium, Espanyol’s home, is the closest option but controversial.
Other alternatives include Mestalla in Valencia and Atlético Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium, though distance and logistics pose challenges.
Barcelona hopes for progress on Camp Nou’s renovations and has not yet consulted with other clubs for permission to use their stadiums.
