Charles Sampson appointed Black Princesses coach for 2025 World Cup campaign

Charles Sampson, a former Ghanaian international, has been appointed head coach of the national U-20 women’s football team, the Black Princesses.

He will lead the team through the qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup.

Sampson had a successful playing career, starting with GHAPOHA FC in Ghana, before moving to Greece and Sweden, where he helped Assyriska Föreningen secure promotion to the Allsvenskan.

After retiring, he transitioned into coaching, managing youth teams in Sweden and later coaching the Black Queens as an assistant.

His coaching team includes Fiifi Parker Hanson and Anita Wiredu-Mintah, who aim to guide the Black Princesses to success on the global stage.
