Chase Adams made history with a record-breaking ten-goal performance as the United States U-17 men’s national team defeated the U.S. Virgin Islands 22-0 in their 2025 CONCACAF U-17 Championship qualifying match at Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica.
The victory set a new record for the most goals scored by a U.S. team in World Cup qualifying at any level, and Adams’ ten goals made him the highest individual scorer in a single U.S. qualifying match.
The U.S. quickly took control with Chance Cowell and Maximo Carrizo scoring early.
By halftime, the team led 14-0. In the second half, Adams reached double digits, and goals from others rounded off a dominant performance, securing a historic win.
