Chelsea FC has promoted Ghanaian duo Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George to their first team, marking a major milestone in their careers.

Both players, who joined the club's academy at age 8, have made notable progress, featuring in Chelsea's pre-season tour and appearing in the UEFA Conference League and EFL Cup this season.

Tyrique George signed a long-term contract in the summer, and Acheampong followed suit, securing a deal until 2029.

During a locker room ceremony, head coach Enzo Maresca and teammates celebrated their achievement.

Although born in England to Ghanaian parents and representing England at youth levels, both players remain eligible to play for Ghana’s Black Stars.
