Chelsea will play Real Betis in the Conference League final this month. They secured a comfortable semi-final win against Djurgarden at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues made 10 changes from their recent victory over Liverpool. They also gave a first senior start to 16-year-old Reggie Walsh. Despite these changes, Chelsea won easily with a 5-1 aggregate score.
The final will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, on May 28. Chelsea will face Manuel Pellegrini's Betis, who beat Fiorentina 4-3 on aggregate after extra time.
Chelsea won the first leg in Sweden 4-1 last week. In the second leg, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored from inside the box after a pass from Tyrique George.
Djurgarden fans cheered loudly throughout the match. However, Chelsea held on for a narrow second-leg victory. They reached the final of Europe's third-tier club competition by bringing on two 17-year-olds in the second half.
This will be Chelsea's eighth European final. It is their first since winning the Champions League against Manchester City in 2021 under Thomas Tuchel.
For current manager Enzo Maresca, this is an opportunity to win his first trophy. It would also be Chelsea's first trophy since Roman Abramovich's era ended.
