Chelsea reported a pre-tax profit of £128.4 million for the year ending June 2024. This is an improvement from the previous year, when they had pre-tax losses of £90.1 million under Todd Boehly’s Clearlake Capital consortium.
The club's overall revenue fell from £512.5 million in 2023 to £468.5 million. They attributed this decline to not participating in Champions League football for their men's team.
Chelsea credited their profit to the sale of player registrations worth £152.5 million. They also highlighted the success of their women’s team as a factor.
In May 2024, Chelsea announced a restructuring plan for the women's team. This plan made the women's team a standalone business while remaining part of the owners' portfolio.
Matchday revenue increased to £80.1 million, up from £76.5 million last year. Commercial revenue also rose from £210.1 million in 2023 to £225.3 million due to higher player loan income and strong non-matchday sales.
