Former NFF Technical Director Chris Green believes Eric Chelle, the new head coach of the Super Eagles, will succeed.
Following the dismissal of Finidi George, the Nigerian national team lacked a permanent coach for their World Cup qualifiers in June 2024.
Augustine Eguavoen served as interim coach, guiding the team to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, but he has now been replaced by Chelle.
Green emphasized the need for the NFF to create a supportive environment for Chelle to succeed, focusing on player mentality, discipline, and the coach's fit with the team.
Chelle will begin his role in March, starting with World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
