FC Samartex, the defending Ghana Premier League champions, have appointed Christopher Ennin as their new head coach, replacing Nurudeen Amadu due to poor performance.
Under Amadu, Samartex won the Premier League title but faced early exits from the FA Cup and CAF Champions League.
Ennin brings extensive experience, having previously worked with Berekum Chelsea and Moneni Pirates in Eswatini, where he resigned to take up the Samartex role.
Ennin's task is to improve Samartex's current form, as they have only earned 17 points from 14 games in the 2024/25 season. The team will play their next match against Nations FC at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
