Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex have appointed Christopher Ennin as their new head coach for the 2024/25 season.
Ennin replaces Nurudeen Amadu, who resigned after guiding the club to their first-ever Ghana Premier League title last season. Despite this achievement, Samartex has struggled in the current campaign, prompting the change. Ennin, known for his tactical expertise, previously managed Berekum Chelsea and most recently coached Moneni Pirates in Eswatini.
His appointment is seen as a fresh start for Samartex as they aim to defend their title. Currently sitting 10th in the league with 17 points from 14 matches, the team faces challenges in their title defense.
