Renowned football administrator Abdul Salam Yakubu has called for Andre Ayew’s return to the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The veteran forward has been absent from the national team since the 2023 AFCON, following Otto Addo’s reappointment in March 2024.
However, Ayew has been in fine form for Le Havre in Ligue 1, scoring four goals in 17 appearances this season.
With Ghana set to face Chad and Madagascar later this month, Yakubu believes the 34-year-old deserves another chance, citing his leadership and contributions to the team.
Ghana, currently second in Group I with nine points, will play Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24.
