Conceicao: Milan derby draw a fair result

Sergio Conceicao accepted that AC Milan’s 1-1 draw with Inter on Sunday was a fair result after Stefan de Vrij’s late equalizer.

Milan seemed on track for their third derby win of the season after winning the Supercoppa Italiana last month, but Inter's persistent attacking pressure, including three disallowed goals and hitting the woodwork thrice, earned them a deserved point.

This was the first draw in a Milan derby since March 2022. Despite Milan's performance, Conceicao acknowledged that Inter didn't deserve to leave empty-handed. Milan, currently eighth in Serie A, have now lost just one of their last six league games. Conceicao emphasized the need for mental consistency and tactical improvements, particularly in pressing and managing midfield gaps.
