Conceicao: ‘New Milan closer to football I like, but Leao can do more’

Sergio Conceicao praised AC Milan’s 3-1 Coppa Italia quarter-final win over Roma, saying it brought the team closer to his footballing philosophy.

New signings Joao Felix and Santiago Gimenez impressed, with Felix scoring a lobbed goal. Conceicao emphasized the need for tactical balance as he transitions Milan to a more compact and aggressive 4-3-3 system.

He also challenged Rafael Leao to improve his off-the-ball work, stating that the winger must step out of his comfort zone to reach an elite level.

Milan will face either Inter or Lazio in the semi-finals as Conceicao continues refining his squad for success in both the Coppa Italia and Serie A.
