Conte hints Napoli lost big money on Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen

Antonio Conte has confirmed reports that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen both wanted to leave Napoli last summer, but the club delayed their moves, potentially losing out on significant money.

Despite winning the 2023 Scudetto, Napoli faced a disastrous season, finishing 10th in Serie A and failing to qualify for Europe.

After Luciano Spalletti's departure, the club hired Conte in hopes of keeping their star players.

However, Osimhen made it clear he wanted to leave, skipping pre-season friendlies and eventually being loaned to Galatasaray as the Turkish transfer market remained open.

Meanwhile, Kvaratskhelia also expressed a desire to leave, but Conte hoped to convince him to stay while contract negotiations continued.
