Copa Del Rey: Antonio Rudiger scores late winner as Real Madrid progress to final

Real Madrid kept their Treble hopes alive in an exciting match. Antonio Rudiger scored the winning goal in extra time against Real Sociedad. His header came from a corner taken by Arda Guler in the 115th minute. This goal sent the home fans into wild celebrations.

The second half was thrilling, with five goals scored in just 21 minutes. Sociedad needed to overcome a 1-0 deficit from the first leg. They struck first in the 16th minute with a goal from Ander Barrenetxea.

Teenage striker Endrick equalized for Madrid in the 30th minute. He scored with a fine chip, putting Madrid ahead on aggregate. However, David Alaba's own goal in the 72nd minute put Sociedad back ahead for the night.

Mikel Oyarzabal then made it 3-1 for Sociedad eight minutes later. His low drive also hit Alaba, making it 3-2 on aggregate. Jude Bellingham quickly restored parity with a lovely volleyed finish.

Aurelien Tchouameni thought he had scored for Madrid in the 86th minute. His effort followed a poor save attempt by goalkeeper Alex Remiro. The drama continued as Oyarzabal headed another goal during added time, forcing extra time at Bernabeu.

Rudiger's late winner made it 5-4 on aggregate for Madrid. Their pursuit of a Treble remains possible this season. They are three points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona and face Arsenal next in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Barcelona will play Atletico Madrid on Wednesday to determine who faces Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final. Their last-four tie is finely poised after an exciting 4-4 first-leg draw.
