The Court of Appeal has ruled that investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas must testify in open court without his signature mask in the case against former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The unanimous decision by Justices Anthony Oppong, Ackaah Boafo, and Aboagye Tandoh emphasized that Nyantakyi’s right to a fair trial outweighs Anas’ witness protection concerns.
The court also criticized the High Court for reconsidering a previous Supreme Court ruling on the matter.
Anas’ 2018 *Number 12* documentary exposed alleged corruption in Ghanaian football, leading to Nyantakyi’s removal from FIFA and CAF roles.
Initially banned for life by FIFA, his suspension was later reduced to 15 years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
