Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed in principle to extend his contract with Al Nassr for another year, keeping him at the club until the end of next season.
At 40, Ronaldo remains the face of Saudi Arabia’s football revolution, attracting top European stars to the league.
His current deal, worth €200 million per year, was set to expire in June, but sources from AFP and Goal confirm a verbal agreement for an extension. Despite links to other clubs, including Sporting Lisbon, Ronaldo has denied any plans to leave.
He has also played a crucial role in promoting sports in Saudi Arabia, making a departure unlikely.
An Al Nassr official stated that while the extension is not yet signed, both parties have reached an agreement, with an announcement expected soon.
