Ghanaian players Cyril Acquah Hagan and Christiana Ashiaku were the top scorers in the boys' and girls' divisions of the WAFU B African Schools Football Championship. Hagan scored three goals in four matches, while Ashiaku netted four goals in as many games.
The girls’ division was fiercely contested, with Ghana emerging as champions, while the boys’ team claimed third place after defeating Burkina Faso 1-0 to win bronze.
The tournament, featuring six nations, provided a platform for showcasing African youth football talent and highlighted the potential of young players.
Ghana's victory in the girls' division secured them a place in the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals, an initiative aiming to develop future African football stars.
