Daniel Ogunmodede confident NPFL stars can manage Nigeria/Ghana rivalry expectations

Ghana's Black Galaxies will face Nigeria on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Nigeria's Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, expressed that the team is highly motivated and prepared to defeat Ghana, especially after Ghana prevented Nigeria's qualification for the previous edition.

Ogunmodede emphasized managing pressure and focusing on staying mentally strong while sticking to their game plan.

He also noted that qualifying for CHAN would showcase Nigeria's local talent, boost the domestic league’s profile, and inspire future players.

After the Accra match, Nigeria will host Ghana for the return leg at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
