David Villa hails Barcelona icon as his ‘most impressive opponent’

Former Barcelona and Spain legend David Villa has revealed his toughest La Liga opponents during his illustrious career.

Villa, who won two La Liga titles and a UEFA Champions League crown with Barcelona, as well as a league trophy with Atletico Madrid in 2014, remains Spain's all-time leading scorer with 59 goals and is regarded as one of the country’s greatest strikers.

Reflecting on his most challenging rivals, Villa highlighted Barcelona icon Ronaldinho for his creative brilliance.

"Ronaldinho is the rival who impressed me most. When you play football, you see the stars of other teams and want to face them," he told *Diario AS*.

He also mentioned Ronaldo Nazario as another formidable opponent during his time at Real Zaragoza, where he won the Copa del Rey and Spanish Supercup in 2004.
