In response, Simeone highlighted similar comments by Ancelotti during his Bayern Munich tenure and by Ceballos while at Real Betis, suggesting they spoke differently when not aligned with Real Madrid.

He shifted focus to Atletico’s Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen, praising Xabi Alonso’s managerial growth. Simeone also addressed Atletico’s upcoming Copa del Rey match against Getafe, acknowledging their progress under a strong coach.
