Donnarumma suffers nasty facial injury in PSG win

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was forced off due to a facial injury during their 4-2 victory over Monaco in Ligue 1. Donnarumma was struck in the face by Monaco's Wilfried Singo, requiring 10 staples to close the wounds.

He was replaced by Matvey Safonov in the 22nd minute. The referee did not penalize Singo, as the challenge was deemed reckless but unintentional.

PSG manager Luis Enrique commented on the difficulty of refereeing such incidents. After the match, PSG announced that Donnarumma would undergo medical exams and rest for several days.

Despite Monaco briefly leading 2-1, PSG secured the win with goals from Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele, and Goncalo Ramos, extending their lead to 10 points at the top.
