Doucoure late winner hands Everton win over Forest

Abdoulaye Doucoure scored a dramatic winner in the 94th minute. His goal helped Everton defeat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. This loss significantly hurt Forest's Champions League hopes.

The match seemed headed for a goalless draw. However, substitute Dwight McNeil assisted Doucoure, who calmly finished the chance.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team has had an impressive season. They climbed to third place in the Premier League. But wins by Manchester City and Aston Villa pushed them into the top five, leaving Forest anxious.

The first half was slow under scorching conditions. Both teams forced comfortable saves from the goalkeepers. James Garner’s low shot and Iliman Ndiaye’s header were saved by Matz Sels. At the other end, Jota Silva's strike and a weak header went straight to Jordan Pickford.

In the second half, Callum Hudson-Odoi tried to create chances on the break. He cut inside but couldn't curl his shot enough, allowing Pickford to save it. As time ran out, Everton launched a counter-attack for a stunning win. This victory lifted them to 14th place and left Forest shocked.
