Mercedes' George Russell has expressed frustration with the leadership of the FIA, particularly President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

Russell, a director of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA), revealed that drivers were unaware of the decision to remove race director Niels Wittich with three races left in the season.

He said many drivers felt "fed up" with the situation, criticizing the FIA's leadership and decision-making. Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc also voiced concerns, with Verstappen calling the race director change "weird" and Leclerc surprised.

Russell pointed out that while meeting Ben Sulayem was easy, getting promises fulfilled was more difficult. The drivers' dissatisfaction highlights the instability and communication issues within the FIA.
