IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois is still in contention for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk despite withdrawing from his title defense against Joseph Parker due to illness, says promoter Frank Warren.
The 27-year-old Briton may face Usyk in a unification bout or Anthony Joshua, with a decision expected soon.
Dubois lost to Usyk in August 2023 via a ninth-round stoppage but was later promoted to IBF champion after Usyk vacated the belt.
He had planned to defend his title against Parker but was replaced by Martin Bakole, who lost in two rounds.
Warren stated Dubois is disappointed, believing he lost a big opportunity. The final decision on his next fight will be made with his team's input.
