After the match, Slot praised his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp. He expressed gratitude during an interview with LFCTV. "It feels great," he said, adding he wanted to appreciate Klopp.

Slot then sang a song for Klopp that Liverpool fans know well. He changed the lyrics from 'Jurgen Klopp' to 'Arne Slot.' He also mentioned expecting a message from Klopp after the game.

He acknowledged their communication throughout the season. "Jurgen showed what a wonderful human being he is," Slot said. He emphasized the importance of the team Klopp left behind.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Slot praised Klopp and assistant Pep Lijnders for their work. "The culture, work-rate, and quality were outstanding," he noted.

Few expected Slot to lead Liverpool to success in his first season. "We started really well," he explained, noting Manchester City's struggles this year. Initially, they aimed for a top-four finish but exceeded expectations.

"I don't think that's fair on the players," he added. They have proven they are much better than that this season. Fans celebrated their title win joyfully after the match.
