EPL on Citi: It’s something I’ve been working on- Anthony Elanga on brilliant solo goal against Man United

Anthony Elanga left Manchester United in the past. On Tuesday, he shone against them.

He outpaced Alejandro Garnacho and Patrick Dorgu. Elanga burst from his own area after a defensive header by Ryan Yates. He collected the ball and ran 70 yards.

The Sweden winger calmly found the bottom corner from 18 yards. It was a special moment, but he did not celebrate. He played against the club he joined at age 12.

Nottingham Forest won 1-0, keeping their Champions League hopes alive. They are now third in the Premier League, with a 10-point lead over Newcastle in sixth place.

“It’s about attacking space and reaching the opposite goal quickly,” Elanga said to TNT Sports while holding his man-of-the-match award.

“I saw the space and believe I’m one of the fastest players in the league.”

He added, “I’ve been working on my finishing. I’m comfortable with both feet this season.”

Elanga continued, “I want to keep improving. Coming here is about playing and developing.”

He expressed gratitude for Manchester United, saying he learned a lot there.

“I am enjoying my football and want to keep going,” he concluded.
