Jose Mourinho supports Manchester United's decision to keep coach Ruben Amorim.
Despite a disappointing season, Mourinho believes this is the right choice. Under Amorim, United finished 15th in the Premier League. This is their worst-ever finish in the league. They also failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Mourinho commented on Sky Sports about the Europa League final loss. He noted that it has a huge impact on United's European competition status. Mourinho was the last coach to win a European title with United in 2017.
He praised the club for supporting Amorim during tough times. Mourinho shared his own experience at Porto when he faced challenges early on. He joined Porto in January 2002 and struggled initially but later found success.
In his first full season, Mourinho led Porto to a treble: league, cup, and UEFA Cup titles. He then defended the league title and won the Champions League in 2003-04.
Amorim left Sporting CP in November to take over at United. After their poor performance, he apologized to fans for the team's finish.
