Mohamed Salah of Liverpool has been named the Football Writers' Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year.
He has had an outstanding season, scoring 33 goals and providing 23 assists. Salah played a key role in Liverpool's Premier League title win.
The Egypt international has started every league game this season. He recently signed a two-year contract extension at Anfield, ending speculation about his future.
This is Salah's third time winning this award. He previously won it in 2017-18 and 2021-22.
Salah beat out teammates Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch for the honor. He also surpassed Arsenal's Declan Rice and Newcastle's Alexander Isak to win this year’s prize.
